Front Runner Events are proud to announce Nathaniel Cars have become the official vehicle partner for the events this year. This means that thousands of runners will be led by the official electric vehicle at the JCP Swansea Half Marathon, M&D Care Llanelli Half Marathon and Cardiff Metropolitan University Cardiff 10Kraces.
Last night saw South Wales’ leading race organiser set off their season of events with a bang. Front Runner Events held their prestigious event at the Swansea Area, a first for the city’s newest venue.
After a two-year absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Cardiff 10K & 2K Fun Run – sponsored by Cardiff Met – returns this September to the streets of the Welsh capital.
The event, now officially titled The Cardiff Metropolitan University Cardiff 10K & 2K Fun Run, will take place on Sunday 4 September 2022, with 7,000 people expected to run through the heart of the city centre.
Front Runner Events are proud to announce the take-over of the Port Talbot Half Marathon which is set to take place on Sunday 14th August 2022. The event, which was created by Port Talbot Harriers 6 years ago, is a keen favourite with all runners that participate. Set in the idyllic setting of Glyncorrwg in the Afan Valley, the Port Talbot Half Marathon will add a new dimension to the Front Runner Event series.
Volunteers play a vital role of our crew and we simply couldn’t deliver our events without them! So today we wanted to shine a spotlight on one of our volunteers who has been with us from the very beginning!
The much-loved Brisco 10k is returning to the streets of Gorseinon in April 2023 thanks to the efforts of local representatives, namely Andrew Stevens, Nicola Matthews and Jan Curtice. The event, which was last run in the early 2000’s returns after almost a 20-year absence.
Everyone knows how important it is to stay hydrated and eat well for function, but it’s also critical for running performance, especially for those longer runs! Your body needs nutrients and fluid during exercise for strength and endurance but also for recovery.
Our second story comes from Susannah Gill. Susannah is the female World Marathon Challenge world record holder for running 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 days. She completed the feat in February 2019 when she ran 295km and travelled 55,000 miles in 168 hours.
Lowri is no average athlete, nor does she do things by halves! This lady is an inspiration to everyone and we are honoured to call her our friend!
